GS To Choose 100 New Partners

The New York Times reported on Sunday that Goldman Sachs Group Inc GS will choose close to 100 executives to be its partners, this fall. However, it will remove around 60 executives from the remunerative title. Goldman generally removes around 30 executives from its partner ranks. The partner ranks total about 375. The removal from the title is higher this time, as fewer senior executives have exited the firm. The final decision on who will be removed still has not been made. In the coming weeks, GS will start the process of determining its new partners and those that will lose their title. Goldman has declined to comment on the selection and removal of partners.
