Could QLogic Be A Takeover Candidate?

There were rumors on Wall Street that Brocade BRCD may be the subject of IBM's IBM affections in a takeover. That got me thinking. Could QLogic QLGC get acquired also if Brocade can? Brocade is no tech hotshot by any means, with slow revenue growth and more cash than debt on the books. QLogic on the other hand is growing its revenue at a 16% clip, has no debt, almost $350 million in cash on its book, and has a lower EV/FCF ratio than Brocade. It has higher operating margins that Brocade, coming in at 20.6% compared to 9.1%, and a higher growth rate than Brocade, as evidenced by this Motley Fool article. QLogic also realized its stock is cheap, as it recently announced a stock buyback program of $200 million, almost 10% of the company. It also operates in the sweet spot of tech right now, engaging in the design and supply of storage networking, server networking, data networking, and converged networking infrastructure solutions. If Brocade could get looked at with metrics that aren't even close to QLogic's, who's to say QLogic isn't acquired also?
