Valspar Announces Price Increase for Powder Coatings (VAL)

The Valspar Corporation VAL has announced price increases for protective coatings products in the company's general industrial line serving the pipe and rebar markets. Pricing changes will take effect for all shipments on or after Oct. 15. The continued escalation in the price for epoxy, a key raw material used to manufacture fusion bonded epoxy coating products, necessitated the action.
