Walgreens Names Jeffrey Berkowitz Senior Vice President

Walgreen Co. WAG WAG today announced that Jeffrey Berkowitz has joined the company as senior vice president of pharmaceutical development and market access. He will report to Kermit R. Crawford, president of Walgreens pharmacy services division. In this new position, Berkowitz will be responsible for the overall pharmacy contracting strategy for the company, both on the pharmaceutical manufacturing side and on the retail payer side. As a member of the senior management team, he will assume leadership for identifying and cultivating strategic external relationships and will oversee key initiatives with pharmaceutical manufacturers that will add to the company's growth.
