Separately, Bloomberg reported that Tesla Motors will help Chinese consumers trade in their old cars if they purchase a Model S. The company will deduct the value of the trade-in from the price of a new Model S sedan and team up with local used-car dealers to connect with customers in Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou.
Shares of Tesla were down slightly at $221.69 in Friday's premarket.© 2024 Benzinga.com. Benzinga does not provide investment advice. All rights reserved.
