Build Your Miles as You Trade

American Airlines Promotion The weather is crisp, the leaves are turning, and traders are ready to get back into the market. According to the Stock Trader's Almanac, October has a reputation as a “bear killer,” turning the tide from red to black in 11 bear markets since World War II (including 1987, 1990, 1998, 2001, and 2002). It's also the time when investors who followed the “Sell in May and go away” investing adage begin to return to the equity market after sitting on the sidelines in fixed-income investments.

And now, just before the holiday travel season heats up, you can get even more out of your early fourth-quarter trading. For every stock and options trade you make in your OptionsHouse account in October, you can book American Airlines AAdvantage® miles.

To start earning miles on all of your trades, sign up here using your OptionsHouse username and password, as well as your AAdvantage® number. Every time you trade throughout October, you'll earn the following rewards:

  • 25 miles for every stock trade
  • 50 miles for every single-leg option trade
  • 75 miles for every multi-leg option trade

It doesn't matter if you trade big or small; each commission-based trade earns the same level of miles. You can earn as many as 25,000 AAdvantage® miles through this promotion. Sign up today and see how your trading activity can really take you places!

The fine print:

Miles will be earned on qualifying trades filled during market trading days between October 1 and October 31, 2010. You can earn AAdvantage® miles on individual or joint OptionsHouse accounts, personal trust accounts, and business accounts.  Note that IRAs and other tax-exempt accounts are not eligible for this promotion, and earned miles can only apply miles to one AAdvantage® account.  Miles earned will be added to your AAdvantage® within six to eight weeks of the conclusion of the program.  You cannot combine this promotion with any free-commission offer. Offer excludes employees of OptionsHouse, LLC, or its affiliates. If there are any issues applying miles to your account, an OptionsHouse representative will contact you to resolve the issue.
