Digital Ally Snags Camera Contracts From Police Departments In Colorado, New Jersey

The agencies awarded contracts to Digital Ally after a competitive bid process. Despite the deal, the companies shares are down more than two percent on Thursday. The Alamosa Police Department will order 25 "complete package" systems from the firm. The complete package includes an in-car camera system, a body-worn camera, and the company's patented "VuLink" technology, which allows for hands-free activation of the devices. Digital Ally will also sell the department cameras to be used in their interview rooms. The Camden County Police Department awarded Digital Ally a contract for 325 HD body-worn cameras and the corresponding docking stations and accessories. "Alamosa & Camden County Police Departments continue a trend we are seeing across the industry in which agencies want flexibility when it comes to their body-worn cameras. One size does not fit all. The FirstVu HD provides our customers with the flexibility they need that competing vendors are not able to provide them," CEO Stanton Ross said in a statement.
