Obama Promises Assistance For Small Businesses

President Obama and the US Congress are working overtime to raise the total cost of the stimulus package to $1 trillion as urged by some economists last winter. Obama outlined proposals to increase job creation in his speech Tuesday. The measures include the money for building roads, construction projects, incentives for small businesses which are expected to help companies like Home Solutions of America, Inc. (OTC: HSOA) and Thomas Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: TGIS) among others.

The stimulus is said to spur employers to hire and bring the jobless rate down, that is currently 10 percent. Most of Mr. Obama’s proposals, however, expanded on the original stimulus package which was intended to work over several years and was passed when 700,000 jobs a month were being lost. The economy lost 11,000 jobs last month.
