Twitter finally introduced its Project Lightning, which has now been "Moments."
Madhu Muthukumar, Twitter's Product Manager, published a blog post describing Moments.
"Every day, people share hundreds of millions of tweets. Among them are things you can't experience anywhere but on Twitter: conversations between world leaders and celebrities, citizens reporting events as they happen, cultural memes, live commentary on the night's big game, and many more," the blog post noted. "We know finding these only-on-Twitter moments can be a challenge, especially if you haven't followed certain accounts. But it doesn't have to be."

The blog post said a new tab called Moments is now available. Tapping on the "lightning bolt" icon on a smartphone opens a list of Moments that "matter now." Moments will be continuously updated throughout the day and can be sorted through topics including entertainment and sports.
Moments are assembled by Twitter's curation team and some are contributed by partners including Buzzfeed, Mashable MLB, and other partners. The company plans on expanding its partners in the future.
For stories that update frequently (such as a sporting event or awards show), users have the option to integrate Moment and blend relevant tweets directly into a timeline. When the relevant story ends, so do the tweets.
Moments is being introduced to users in the United States across Android, iPhone, and desktop users. The feature will be introduced to international users in the coming weeks and months.
