Walt Disney Co DIS shares are trading lower by $1.15 at $102.83 in Tuesday's session. Today marks the fifth day in a row it has traded lower, falling from its December 28 close ($107.25) to its current level.
Some of today's decline can be attributed to a downgrade at Macquarie from Outperform to Neutral. The company cites a lack of a short-term catalyst now that the mania over the new "Star Wars" movie has passed.
After peaking off its opening print at $102.67, the issue swooned to $99.89 before recovering back into the mid-$100 handle.
It is now $20 lower than its peak on November 23 at $120.65 that preempted the release of the new film.
