The TJX Companies Expects to Repurchase $1.0B to $1.2B Shares in 2011

During the third quarter, The TJX Companies, Inc. TJX spent a total of $256 million in repurchases of TJX stock, retiring 6.0 million shares. For the first nine months of Fiscal 2011, the Company has spent a total of $845 million in repurchases of TJX stock, retiring 19.7 million shares. The Company now expects to repurchase $1.0 billion to $1.2 billion of TJX stock in Fiscal 2011, which is more than originally planned. The Company may adjust the amount of this spending up or down depending on various factors.
