While the reveal event may be over five weeks away, Apple Inc. AAPL is planning to showcase a few items on March 15, according to sources.
9To5Mac said the event will mark the first of its kind since September 2015, and will be broken into three product categories: the iPhone, iPad Air and Apple Watch.
Anticipated reveals include a 4-inch iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3 and new band options for the Apple Watch.
In addition to the smaller size, the iPhone will also feature an A9 chip, revamped camera technology and integrated Apple Pay. 9To5Mac commented, "The 5se will be priced the same as the 5s, according to sources, starting at $450 for 16GB. A 64GB model will also be offered."
Regarding the iPad Air 3, 9To5Mac is expecting the "first significant upgrade to Apple's 9.7-inch tablet line since the Air 2 debuted in October 2014." Possible new features include a rear-LED flash (the first for any iPad), a smaller Smart Keyboard, a Smart Connector and improved speakers.
The Apple Watch's segment of the media event will be the least monumental, as the product just went through updates in September. According to 9To5Mac's sources, the March refresh "will focus on new bands […] The new band lines will include multiple new colors for the rubberized Sport bands, new Hermès bands, a ‘space black' version of the Milanese Loop, and an entirely new band line made of a new material."
Apple was recently trading down 1.4 percent on the day at $95.08.
