Lions Gate LGF confirmed in a 13D filing on Thursday, that it has informed Starz STRZA, that it intends to explore a potential mutually beneficial combination of the two companies. Bloomberg reported on Thursday that the two companies were in preliminary discussions regarding a potential deal. Starz closed at $31.23 on Thursday, up 7%. Lions Gate closed at $25.45 and traded as low as $23.81 after-hours following their earnings report. Ingredion to Acquire Shandong Huanong Specialty Corn Development Co. The Deal:
Ingredion Incorporated INGR announced Thursday, that it has entered an definitive agreement to acquire the state-owned Shandong Huanong Specialty Corn Development Co., Ltd. in Pingyuan County, Shandong Province, China. Terms were not disclosed. Ingredion closed at $99.15 on Thursday, down 1%. Multi-Fineline Electronix Announces Agreement to be Acquired by Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing Co for $23.95/Share in Cash The Deal:
Multi-Fineline Electronix, Inc. MFLX and Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing Co., Ltd., announced Thursday, that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement providing for DSBJ's acquisition of MFLX for $23.95 per share in cash. The deal is expected to close in Q3 of FY 2016. Multi-Fineline Electronix closed at $16.43 on Thursday, and traded as high as $24.00 after-hours. Honeywell Acquires Xtralis for $480M The Deal:
Honeywell HON has agreed to acquire the provider of aspirating smoke detection, Xtralis, for $480 million from funds advised by Pacific Equity Partners and Blum Capital Partners. The transaction is expected to close in Q2 of 2016. Honeywell closed at $102.55 on Thursday, up $0.39. Honeywell Acquires Xtralis for $480M The Rumor:
Honeywell HON has agreed to acquire the provider of aspirating smoke detection, Xtralis, for $480 million from funds advised by Pacific Equity Partners and Blum Capital Partners. The transaction is expected to close in Q2 of 2016. Honeywell closed at $101.93 on Thursday, up 2.45%.
