Benefiting from a 50-minute NFL overrun on Sunday evening, Fox NWS launched into first place in Week 8 with a 2.8 rating, up from 2.2 the prior week, Goldman Sachs reports.
The NFL overrun posted a 6.3 rating, making it the #2 show of the week. Glee delivered a 4.6 rating, matching its season low.
“ABC DIS was the #2 network last week with a 2.6 rating (-17%),” Goldman Sachs writes. “The network's coverage of the Country Music Awards won its time period however finished down 11% yoy to its lowest rating ever.”
News Corp., which owns Fox, currently trades at $15.73. The Walt Disney Company, which owns ABC, currently trades at $37.22.
