Benzinga’s Top Gainers (LIMS, ARRY, JASO, Q, LEAP)
Starlims Technologies Limited (NASDAQ: LIMS) has soared 46% to $13.85 on 1.06 million shares. Yesterday, Abbott Laboratories (NYSE: ABT) reported that it has reached an agreement to acquire Starlims Technologies for $123 million in cash, or $14 a share. Today, LIMS made a new 52-week high of $13.90.
Array BioPharma Inc. (NASDAQ: ARRY) has jumped 25% to $2.81. Yesterday, Array BioPharma, Inc. along with Amgen, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMGN) announced that they have entered into an agreement for Type 2 diabetes. The 52-week trading range for ARRY is $1.68 - $4.68.
JA Solar Holdings Co., Ltd. (ADR) (NASDAQ: JASO) shares climbed 9.77% to $5.82 on 25 million shares as JASO expects fourth-quarter shipments to exceed the high end of its previous guidance. JA Solar also expects strong 2010 shipments based on robust orders in the current quarter.
Qwest Communications International Inc. (NYSE: Q) shares soared 5.64% to $4.31 after UBS this morning upgraded Qwest to Buy from Neutral and raised the price target to $5.50 from $3.80.
Leap Wireless International, Inc. (NASDAQ: LEAP) shares climbed 6.71% to $16.42 on 3.15 million shares. So far this year, LEAP is down over 39%. The 52-week range for LEAP is $11.98-$42.47.
