Shares of NVIDIA Corporation NVDA were trading up almost 5 percent on Wednesday’s after-hours session, following the announcement of the company’s fourth quarter financial results. The company beat expectations on both the earnings and revenue fronts on higher chip demand, posting EPS of $0.39 on revenue of $1.401 billion, versus the Street’s consensus of $0.32 and $1.311 billion.
NetApp Inc. NTAP, on the other hand, lost 1.7 percent since the bell rang. The company posted EPS of $ 0.70, which came in $0.02 ahead of the Street’s consensus. Revenue of $ 1.386 billion, however, missed expectations for $ 1.451 billion. A weak earnings outlook and the announcement that the company would fire 12 percent of its staff were also driving the stock down.
Finally, there’s Marriott International Inc MAR, down 2.5 percent since the market closed. The global lodging firm retrieved earnings of $0.77 per share, $0.01 above consensus, on revenue of $3.706 billion, slightly below expectations for $3.72 billion.
Other stocks moving in after-hours included Ingram Micro Inc. IM, up more than 23 percent, and Jack in the Box Inc. JACK, down about 19.5 percent on its earnigs call.
