• J Crew JCG reportedly is nearing an agreement to be acquired for $2.8 billion, or $43.50 per share

• Piper Jaffray PJC upgraded Red Hat RHT from "neutral" to "overweight," with a $50 price target

• Goldman Sachs GS initiated coverage of VeriFone PAY at "neutral," and a price target of $31

• Deutsche Bank DB began coverage of Textron TXT at "buy," and a price target of $28
