Best Buy Expects Higher Sales This Year

Best Buy BBY is expecting higher sales this year according to a report from Jefferies. In a note to clients, Jefferies writes, "Black Friday deals will circumvent official Apple discounting prohibitions by including a $30 gift card with an 8GB iPod touch for $229 and a $125 gift card with a $1200 MacBook Pro or $1200 iMac. BBY expects higher sales this year vs. last. EVP Shari Ballard noted "there is pent-up demand." BBY closed Tuesday at $44.17.
