Black Friday ETFs To Consider

Black Friday is upon us, and the busiest shopping day of the year can be really profitable for traders, if they know how to play it. The largest retail ETF is SPDR S&P Retail ETF XRT, which compromises companies like priceline.com PCLN, Netflix NFLX, and Gamestop GME. XRT is up 33.9% for the year, and has rien more than 30% in the past few months. Another ETF, the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR XLY, contains many different sectors, from McDonald's MCD (fast food), Target TGT, to Time Warner TWX. XLY has returned more than 20% this year and also boasts a small dividend yield, around 1% to boot. The last ETF to consider for Black Friday is Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. Retail RTH It's mostly weighted in larger names, like Wal-Mart, Target, and Amazon AMZN. It's a much smaller ETF than XLY or XRT, and only has around $530 million in assets. Disclosure: no positions
