Paul Deninger to Join Evercore Partners as a Senior Managing Director

Evercore Partners Inc. EVR announced today that Paul Deninger has agreed to join the firm's Investment Banking business as a Senior Managing Director. Mr. Deninger, who will be based in Boston and San Francisco, will focus on advising companies in the Technology and Clean Technology Sectors and will work closely with Evercore's Technology team, including Senior Managing Directors Michael Price, Naveen Nataraj, Brian Roberts and Jed Sherwindt. Mr. Deninger was most recently a Vice Chairman at Jefferies and previously was Chairman and CEO of Broadview International, a technology investment banking boutique firm. With more than 23 years of experience working with companies in the technology sector Mr. Deninger has advised on more than 125 M&A transactions, including transactions involving IBM, HP, Adobe, BMC, Nuance, and CA, among other companies, and numerous IPOs, including QlikTech, one of the best performing Tech IPOs of 2010. “Adding an exceptionally well regarded and experienced advisor like Paul, one of the leading bankers in the Technology industry, further strengthens Evercore's capabilities in this attractive sector, where we have recently advised Carlyle in its $2.6bn acquisition of Syniverse Technologies, Intel in its $1.4bn acquisition of Infineon's Wireless Solutions Business, ACS in its $8.2bn sale to Xerox, and Pace in its $475mm acquisition of 2Wire, among other transactions,” said Roger Altman, Evercore's Chairman. “Paul's extensive sector expertise and relationships with leading and emerging Technology companies will significantly enhance our position in this strategically important industry.” “I am excited to join forces with Roger, Eduardo Mestre, Michael Price and the entire Evercore team,” said Mr. Deninger. “Evercore's reputation for quality, independence and providing differentiated advice is well known in the marketplace.
