Sanderson Farms Inc. said higher chicken prices helped earnings in the fourth quarter. Sanderson Farms reported net income of $2.08 per share, versus the $1.72 per share Wall Street expected. Revenue came in at $529.1 million versus the $521.1 million Wall Street expected. This was a rise of 13% from last year.
Despite the earnings beat, shares of SAFM are down 25 cents to $42.23.
