Qualcomm, Apple Up On New iPad Reports (QCOM, AAPL)

Apple Inc. AAPL and Qualcomm QCOM are moving higher this morning, after a report from the DigiTimes said that the Cupertino, California-based company is going to release three versions of its popular iPad next year. Qualcomm is moving higher as the article suggests that one version of the iPad will use CDMA technology, which is licensed by Qualcomm. The other versions of the iPad 2 will support either or a combination of Wi-Fi and UMTS. Shares of Apple are up 52 cents in early Tuesday trading to $325.20, while Qualcomm is up 18 cents to $49.79.
