AIG AIG is considering an alternative proposal for its Taiwan unit, as it looks to pay back the U.S. government. The U.S. government cleared the way for some drillers to return to the Gulf of Mexico. The CFTC needs to come up with a Plan B on regulating derivatives if its budget is not increased by Congress.
