Macy's, Inc. Reports December Sales of $4.619B

today reported total sales of $4.619 billion for the five weeks ended Jan. 1, 2011, an increase of 4.5 percent compared with total sales of $4.422 billion in the five weeks ended Jan. 2, 2010. On a same-store basis, Macy's, Inc. sales were up 3.9 percent in December. Same-store sales for the combined November/December holiday selling period were up 4.6 percent.
