Compass Minerals Reports Fourth-Quarter Highway Deicing Sales of 3,284,000 Tons

Compass Minerals CMP has published its fourth-quarter 2010 highway deicing sales volume and regional weather data on its website at www.compassminerals.com/marketdata. Compass Minerals' highway deicing sales volume, which includes all highway maintenance products sold in the U.S., Canada and the U.K., as well as rock salt sold to the chemical industry, totaled approximately 3,284,000 tons in the three months ended December 2010 compared to sales of 3,127,000 tons in the fourth quarter of 2009.
