Shares of Walt Disney Co DIS were trading lower by 0.30 percent ahead of Monday's market open despite its latest film, "Jungle Book," crossing the $500 million mark in worldwide ticket sales.
According to COMSCORE, Inc. SCOR, Disney's latest film saw domestic ticket sales of $60.8 million and $156.8 million in global box office ticket sales. The film has also posted the best second weekend sales of 2016 and has now collected $528 million in total ticket sales since the film's release.

Notably, Universal's 'The Huntsman: Winter's War' had its North American debut and in combination with the international cumulative box office to date of $80.2 million pushed its total to just over $100 million globally."
Despite the encouraging ticket sales figure, shares of Disney were trading lower by around 0.20 percent ahead of Monday's opening bell.
