Chips Falling Where They May (NVDA, MU, AMAT)

A couple of chip companies are sliding sharply today, after experiencing strong runs in the early part of 2011. At last check, shares of NVIDIA Corporation NVDA is losing 45 cents to $22.58, a loss of nearly 2%. Shares of Micron Technology MU, which Regis Philbin called his "pick of the year" for 2011, is down 30 cents to $9.36, a loss of 3.1%. Shares of Applied Materials, Inc. AMAT are up 10 cents to $15.30, despite ASML ASML seeing profit taking today.
