Sears Over $100 (SHLD)
Eddie Lampert's Sears Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: SHLD) has had a great year as retailers have bounced back from the worst recession since the 1930s. Sears (SHLD), which also owns Kmart, said it expects its "adjusted earnings" to be between $3.36 and $4.06 a share for the quarter ended Jan. 30. This is a steep upward revision from what analysts had been anticipating. Analysts polled by FactSet Research were looking for $2.69 a share.
Sears (SHLD) shares are up over 12% today and are holding right around the $100 level. On the year, SHLD has been a tremendous performer. The stock has appreciated more than 146% and appears to have the legs to continue to move higher.
