Jim Cramer Says Follow Twitter And Microsoft On Tuesday

CNBC's Jim Cramer said on Tuesday's segment of

"The Mad Dash" that investors should pay close attention to Twitter Inc TWTR and Microsoft Corporation MSFT during the trading session. Why Twitter? Analysts at Moffett Nathanson downgraded Twitter's stock to a Sell rating from a prior Neutral rating. Cramer noted that the analyst titled their report "Hope Is Not A Strategy" which coincides with his own opinion of the company. "This is a piece that basically says management is smug, they are not worried, advertising is going down, revenue growth is nowhere to be found," Cramer said. He added that reading the research report makes it clear why the company has never been acquired by a larger tech peer or strategic buyer. "This is a piece that is devastating," Cramer further emphasized. "It's a devastating and well researched piece." Why Microsoft? Moving on to Microsoft Corporation MSFT, Cramer pointed out that many investors had been concerned over the company given a slowing Windows and Cloud business. Cramer, always a fan of post earnings conference call, said Microsoft's recent call was a "bummer" and "like a movie that failed." However, he cited a new research report by analysts at Cowen who suggested the company's prospects can improve from here. Cramer suggested that if the bullish analyst report is true, Microsoft could become the next "big cap stock to really rock-and-roll."
