On Thursday, the network presented its revised roster to the media with industry veterans Francesca Orsi and David Levine being upped to co-lead the drama division. The moves were made by Casey Bloys, who was just promoted following Lombardo's exit.
The former programming SVPs each have an impressive resume, with Orsi previously guiding the development of "Boardwalk Empire" and "True Blood," while Levine helped oversee network juggernaut "Game of Thrones." Each also have had a hand in upcoming network priorities such as "Westworld," "Big Little Lies" and "Sharp Objects."
Following a disappointing start for music drama "Vinyl," HBO is banking on its dramatic slate bouncing back as established series "The Leftovers" and "Game Of Thrones" are nearing the end of their runs, and "True Detective" currently in limbo following a poorly received sophomore run.
HBO will next debut the limited run drama "The Night Of" this summer.
