LeBron James Did Something No Other Player Has Ever Done

No team in NBA history had ever come back from a 3-1 deficit in the NBA Finals to take home the championship. Until Sunday.

LeBron James led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 93-89 victory in a winner-take-all Game 7 by recording a triple-double. James collected his third NBA championship ring and will bring the NBA trophy home to Cleveland - the first major sports title the city has seen in 52 years.

James was unanimously named the Finals MVP for good reason. He led all finals players in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks (29.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, 8.9 assists, 2.3 blocks and 2.6 steals). In fact, James is the only player to accomplish this feat in any series.

Cleveland's regular season was a difficult one and even including a coaching change in which Tyronn Lue took charge as an NBA head coach for the time.

Many investors were also following the series as it pitted Under Armour Inc UA's brand ambassador Steph Curry who was gunning for his second straight NBA championship.

In the end, Curry lost to Nike Inc NKE's brand ambassador, and perhaps the league's best player.
