Overland Park, Kansas-based Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. WDR on Monday morning released financial results that beat Wall earnings Street earnings expectations.
Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc reported that its 4th quarter net income climbed to $46.4 million, or 54 cents per share, up from $33.3 million, or 39 cents per share, a year earlier.
A poll of analysts conducted by Thomson Reuters showed an average Wall Street estimate of expected earnings of 50 cents per share.
Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. (WDR) ended the previous trading session at $36.26 per share. Analysts covering the company's stock have a consensus price target of $39.70 per share.
Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc is one of the oldest mutual fund complexes in the United States, having introduced the Waddell & Reed Advisors Group of Mutual Funds in 1940.
