• Arch Coal ACI reported Q4 EPS of $0.33, ex-items, below the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.46 per share. Revenues for the quarter rose 15% to $835.4 million, lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $869.0 million

• T. Rowe Price TROW reported Q4 EPS of $0.72, above the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.69 per share. Revenues for the quarter were $647.5 million, below the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $678.0 million

• As a result of rising costs in North America, share prices of Ford F  are trading almost 12% lower at $16.58 after the company reported an unexpected decline in Q4 results

• Microsoft MSFT shares are trading 4.6% lower at $27.55 after the company reported on Friday a minor drop in quarterly profit

• Borders Group BGP reported it was getting $550 million of loans as part of a restructuring process aimed at improving profitability and cash flow

• American Electric Power AEP reported Q4 EPS of $0.38, slightly lower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $0.39 per share. Revenues for the quarter rose to $3.4 billion, below the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $3.897 billion

• Verizon Communication VZ dropped 2.4% after the company agreed to acquire Terremark Worldwide TMRK for  an estimated deal of $1.4 billion that would let the telecommunications giant leverage the networking and storage security provider's cloud computing services

• U.S. shares of Sanofi-AventisSNY fell 5.4% after the drug company failed to meet its goal in a late stage study for BSI-201,  a breast cancer treatment drug in the company's development pipeline
