Live Cattle Futures Trading Higher

August live cattle is trading at 112.17, up 0.70 cents/lb. October live cattle is trading at 110.95, up 0.60 cents/lb. December live cattle is trading at 112.60, up 0.45 cents/lb. Live cattle futures are trading higher just after the open Thursday. Market chatter about weather, consumer demand and cash prices is making the rounds. The USDA reported today that beef weekly export sales for the period ending July 7th totaled 12,800 tonnes. Sales were down 17 percent from the previous week and from the four week average.
