NiSource Reports 33 Cent Adjusted EPS (NI)

Merrillville, Indiana-based NiSource Inc. NI on Tuesday morning released financial results. NiSource Inc reported that its 4th quarter income from continuing operations fell to $35.8 million, or 13 cents per share, down from $88.5 million, or 32 cents per share, a year earlier. Excluding special items, the company earned 33 cents per share. NiSource Inc reported revenue of $1.67 billion, up from $1.5 billion a year earlier. A poll of analysts conducted by Thomson Reuters showed an average Wall Street estimate of expected earnings of 34 cents per share, on revenue of $1.58 billion. The company forecast full-year 2011 earnings in the range of $1.25 to $1.35 per share. NiSource Inc. (NI) ended the previous trading session at $18.62 per share. Analysts covering the company's stock have a consensus price target of $18.00 per share. NiSource Inc is a Fortune 500 company engaged in natural gas transmission, storage and distribution, as well as electric generation, transmission and distribution.
