Jim Cramer Tweeted Thursday morning that Facebook Inc FB's Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg is rumored to be eyed by Hillary Clinton's campaign for a leading role in a potential administration.

Sandberg is a strong Clinton supporter and Thursday isn't the first time her name is associated with a leading position in a Clinton campaign. However, a report by Politico brought Sandberg's name back into the spotlight.

"There's considerable speculation here that Clinton would try to land Sheryl Sandberg, who spent years at Treasury before heading to Silicon Valley and becoming COO of Facebook, to be the first female Treasury secretary," Politico wrote in a report dated Wednesday.

Sources close to the situation told Recode not even a month ago that Sandberg had no desire to to leave Facebook or accept a position under President Obama's administration. A spokesperson for the Clinton campaign also told Recode it's "too premature" to comment on any potential cabinet picks.

Cramer's Tweet appears to have had no affect on Facebook's stock. Shares of Facebook were trading higher by around 0.36 percent at $122.95, but are lower by more than 1.50 percent over the past five trading days.

Facebook's stock has gained more than 7 percent over the past month even though it shed $5 per share since hitting a historical all-time high of $128.33 following its earnings report on July 27.
