Aspen Insurance Holdings AHL operating EPS was $1.02, Sterne Agee reports.
“Adjusting for $10 mm higher other income and a lower tax rate versus our forecast, we would put the core EPS at $0.83,” Sterne Agee writes. “This compares to our estimate at $0.68 and the Street consensus at $0.73.
“The core beat versus our estimate was driven by $0.11 better underwriting income (total reserve release and better accident year loss ratio partly offset by higher expense ratio) and $0.02 better NII versus our forecast.”
Aspen Insurance Holdings currently trades at $30.74.
