The company's revenue increased to $10.49 billion from $7.51 billion. On an adjusted basis, the company's earnings came in at $0.72 per share. However, analysts were expecting earnings at $0.72 per share on revenue of $10.16 billion.
Shares of Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc SBGI rose about 2.5% after the company swung to Q4 net income of $33.1 million, or $0.40 per share, from a loss of $67.8 million, or $0.85 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's revenue came in at $225.6 million, versus $183.3 million, in the year-ago period. However, analysts were expecting earnings of $0.38 per share on revenue of $209 million.
Shares of Northrop Grumman Corp NOC gained about 1.8% after the company reported its Q4 profit at $376 million, or $1.27 per share, compared with $413 million, or $1.31 per share, in the year-earlier period. The company's revenue dropped to $8.6 billion from $8.9 billion. Northrop projected its 2011 earnings from continuing operations in the range of $6.40 to $6.60 per share.
