BB&T Capital Maintains Buy on Flowers Foods (FLO)

BB&T Capital is out with its report today on Flowers Foods

, maintaining Buy. In a note to clients, BB&T Capital writes, "FLO reported Q4'10 EPS of $0.34 compared to our $0.40 estimate and consensus of $0.39. The entire miss, relative to our estimate, was due to lower-than-expected sales, as DSD volumes excluding expansion markets declined nearly 5%, due to aggressive competitive promotional pricing during the quarter. We have a Buy (1) rating on FLO and 12-month price target of $28." At the time of posting, shares of FLO were trading at $24.01, down 1.32% from Tuesday's close.
