Scripps Networks Interactive Reports Q4 EPS of $0.68 vs. $0.69

Scripps Networks Interactive Inc. SNI today reported operating results for the fourth quarter 2010. Consolidated revenues for the quarter increased 33 percent to $573 million from the prior-year period. Excluding Travel Channel, in which the company acquired a controlling interest on Dec. 15, 2009, consolidated revenue increased 20 percent to $504 million, year-over-year. Fourth-quarter net income attributable to Scripps Networks Interactive was $131 million, or $0.77 per share, compared with $94.4 million, or $0.57 per share, in the fourth quarter 2009. Excluding the special items, fourth quarter 2010 earnings per share would have been $0.68 and 2009 earnings per share would have been $0.52.
