Silver Spring, Maryland-based Discovery Communications, Inc. DISCA released financial results on Friday morning.
Discovery Communications, Inc reported that its 4th quarter net income climbed to $205 million, or 48 cents per share, up from $155 million, or 36 cents per share, a year earlier.
Discovery Communications, Inc reported revenue of $1.02 billion, up 7% from $950 million a year earlier.
According to a survey of analysts by Thomson Reuters, the average Wall Street estimate called for earnings of 52 cents per share, on revenue of $1.03 billion.
The company forecast full-year 2011 net income available to Discovery Communications, Inc. stockholders of $925 million to $1,000 million, on revenue between $4,000 million and $4,100 million.
Discovery Communications, Inc. (DISCA) closed the previous trading day at $43.25 per share. Analysts covering the company's stock give it a consensus price target of $45.30 per share.
