SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Virgin America Inc. VA today reported its preliminary operational results for September 2016. The airline's traffic (measured in revenue passenger miles) increased 24.2 percent on capacity (measured in available seat miles) that was 15.1 percent higher from the same month in 2015.
Load factor was 84.2 percent, an increase of 6.1 points from September 2015. The number of onboard passengers increased 19.7 percent from the same month last year.
