Live Cattle Futures Higher

December live cattle is trading at 103.67, up 0.35 cents/lb. February live cattle is trading at 104.50, up 0.37 cents/lb. April live cattle is trading at 104.12, up 0.35 cents/lb. Live cattle futures are trading a little higher after Monday's soft trade. Market talk about cattle supplies ahead and consumer demand has kept both buyers and sellers active in recent sessions. Trading is expected to remain choppy. Monday's USDA cattle slaughter was 116,000 head versus 114,000 last week and 110,000 a year ago.
