Estimates for USDA Cattle on Feed Report

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) monthly Cattle on Feed Report is scheduled for release at 3:00 p.m. ET. The average street estimate for placements during October is near 95.7 percent of last year. The range of estimates is 90.0 percent to 103.8 percent. The average estimate for marketings is 104.7 percent of a year ago. The range for marketings is 103.1 percent to 106.5 percent. The street estimate for the November 1st on-feed cattle supply is around 99 percent of a year ago from a range of estimates near 97.7 percent to 100.8 percent.
