Vance Corp. Reports Q1 EPS of $0.30 vs. $0.44

Eaton Vance Corp. EV earned $0.30 per diluted share in the first quarter of fiscal 2011 compared to earnings per diluted share of $0.37 in the first quarter of fiscal 2010 and $0.41 in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010. Earnings per diluted share were reduced $0.15, $0.02 and $0.06 in the first quarter of fiscal 2011, the first quarter of fiscal 2010 and the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010, respectively, by adjustments in connection with increases in the estimated redemption value of non-controlling interests redeemable at other than fair value, as described in more detail below.
