Bruker Corp. Report 4Q Above Pre-Ann Level

According to Deutsche Bank, Bruker Corp. BRKR reported 4Q10 EPS of $0.27, slightly below its EPS estimate of $0.28 and in-line with the consensus of $0.27. Deutsche Bank reported that management updated its FY11 revenue guidance, and now expects revenue to be in the range of $1.55‐$1.57 billion, above its prior expectation of at least $1.45 billion and the consensus of $1.52 billion. “This was a strong end to the year for BRKR, with its top‐line momentum and OM expansion being the highlights. The FY11 guidance should provide comfort to investors of the growth momentum, allaying fears of any slow down due to potential academic budget cuts. Furthermore, the medium term outlook shows management's commitment to creating shareholder value, with upside optionality from the potential spin‐off of itsBEST division. Given these, we reiterate our Buy rating and plan a more thorough review of the quarter post‐conference call.” Bruker Corp. closed yesterday at $18.65.
