VeriFone Systems Inc PAY shares are trading higher by $1.50 (8.5 percent) at $17.95 in Tuesday's session. The Street is focusing on its small Q4 2016 EPS and sales beats as opposed to the lower guidance announced for Q1 2017.
The lower guidance instigated a lower opening print, which has turned out to be the low for the session of $16.03. That is just below Monday's low of $16.23.
After sharply reversing course, the issue sprinted to $18.17 and is attempting to remain in the $18.00 handle. The current high comes in just above a series of six highs from $17.76 to $17.92 from November 18 to November 28.
