Live Cattle Futures Little Changed

February live cattle is trading at 113.87, down 0.12 cents/lb. April live cattle is trading at 113.07, down 0.15 cents/lb. Live cattle futures are trading steady to lower just after the open. Chatter about consumer demand and weather is making the rounds. Tuesday's USDA cattle slaughter was 114,000 head, the slaughter for the week is now 226,000 head versus 224,000 a year ago.
