Exxon Mobil Corporation XOM shares are trading lower by $0.90 at $83.96 in Tuesday's session. The Street isn't pleased with its Q4 EPS of $0.90 excluding impairment charges vs. GAAP of $0.41 and estimates of $0.70, along with a $127 million miss for revenues.
The report has the issue trading in the red for the third day in a row. It also extends its decline from when it peaked on December 13 at $93.21.
After a higher open, the rally ended only $0.03 above its opening price at $85.07. The ensuing decline took the issue all the way to $83.13, before mounting a rebound to the $84.00. That marks the lowest level for the issue since it bottomed on November 4 at $82.76.
