Eaton Corporation ETN reported that revenues increased 17.0% to $3.66 billion from $3.13 billion year over year as four of the Company's six segments increased double-digit percentages compared to the fourth quarter of 2009. Hydraulics and Electrical Americas led the way, gaining 36.3% and 22.4% respectively. The “weakest” segment was Aerospace, which increased 5.0% year over year, however, it did break a seven quarter streak of falling revenues.
Wall Street Strategies feels the quarter was strong for the company and hydraulics came roaring back during the quarter. Possibly one of the best indications for the Company was the growth registered in the Aerospace segment. The Truck segment was also among the strongest for the Company, as the trucking industry worldwide
continues to grow. Management expects to see growth around the world with strength in Asia outpacing that of Europe.
Wall Street Strategies has a $65 PT and Buy rating on ETN
ETN is trading higher at $53.45
